About Me:
"It's not such an interesting backstory to tell," Alice begins, padding slowly across the room in order to pull back the thick curtains upon the west wall of the quaint living space. As natural light of the day floods in, she blows out the last remaining candles that had been used for illumination the night before, taking in a deep breath through her nostrils in order to enjoy the scent of spring which rushes through the window that now remains open. Giving her tail a slight twirl, she draws it up, wraps it around her waist, and passes a deep sigh.
"I was a First-Knight for the Kingdom of Raj'aik. I had the pleasure of being assigned to general protection duties on royal caravans. A typical day ended with about four or five thieves behind cages, trying to steal food or riches from the Kingdom's hands. I was chosen for my job because I was good. I'm fast, and I have the street-smarts of a criminal - one of the lesser values that I learned growing up with a rather risky father."
Alice paused, looking over the few pictures that she kept upon a small shelf that hung upon the wall on the south side of the room - just about seven-feet above ground. A small smile danced across her lips as she eyed the photo's, paying particular attention to a photo sitting just upon the left-edge of the shelf. The photo was of a thick-mane lion holding a baby cub within his arms. The man was a bit rough-looking, and the baby had peculiar, multi-colored eyes. The photo was slightly faded, but the details were still freshly pressed to the glass of the frame.
"It was raining that day, as it did most days in Raj'aik. Yet, there was something very different about the rain. It seemed somehow heavier. The drops hit harder, and splashed louder against my armor. I remember the horses that were pulling the caravan along kept kicking back and struggling to pull the load upon the slippery mud below their hooves." She again paused, this time to brush a paw back through her hair. "Meh, sparing the details, we got attacked. Just like the rain that day, it came far too fast, and far too hard for us to control. An entire caravan of royal riches just... disappeared. At least, that's what I remember before waking up in a cell of the dungeons, accused of treachery and planning the attack."
Alice scuffed her feet to the foundation of her small home, shrugging. "Innocent or not, I can't ever be a knight again. My people threw me out. Apparently, whomever stole the inheritance had a damn good mind to frame someone for it. Loose ties aside, I suppose that was me." ((**Work In Progress.**))
In the meantime - my name is Alice. I'm a silly little fur that likes pretty much anything and everything! To break down my current life in a nutshell: I'm MtF trans* on hormones, I enjoy reading and writing when I get the time, and I work a lot more than my head enjoys.
Feck.
