So here is a question for all you FurrTraxers, I am working on implementing a forum for the FurrTrax website. But because i created FurrTrax 100% from scratch, it is not compatible with the authentication systems of any of the popular forum systems. I have vetted MyBB, PHPBB, Vbulletin, and YaBB, even breifly looked at SMF. So now for the question.

1. I can make a simple forum that will NOT HAVE features such as uploads, signatures, video embeds, etc.

OR

2. I can use PHPBB, with the limit that you will have to create a seperate account on the forums.

Arkani Karin: I agree with dogpaws I think your time would be better spent enhancing a standalone app Something that runs a bit smoother Especially considering thats how I found your community myselfWith an easy to use user friendly app youd expand membership much faster than you would with a forum Its all about standing apart and standing out Everyone has a forum no real furry communitieshave a proper app 3

DarkXander: The issue is that a forum would allow those who want to the opportunity to expand their use post things and i also want to add the ability for authors to post stories on hereThe forum would not be part of the app just the websiteAs for asking for help it isnt that i dont know enough about php its that the mechanisms involved in furrtrax authentication and that of other systems are alien and not even remotely simular

Nepales: To tell you the truth I think Fur Trax should be it own type of forum instead of relying upon other formats and such I think that FurTrax should be independant If majority vote still beats my decision I will still stand I know that if I have to put in extra to make this decisiin work for others I will do it and everything in my power to support it
